I'm Tracy Jackson

and this is the story behind Diversity Beans

It All Started With a Picky Toddler

Diversity Beans were born from an unexpected moment of frustration—a toddler's refusal to eat anything green. What began as a playful way to broaden a child's palate with unpredictable jelly bean flavors evolved into something far more powerful: a tool for fostering meaningful conversations about bias.

Driven by Diversity

When I first encountered Diversity Beans, I was navigating life as a military spouse, a veteran, an entrepreneur, and a mom to (then) two little girls. My own experiences, including estrangement from my parents due to my interracial marriage, made me deeply aware of the painful impact of prejudice. I immediately saw the potential of Diversity Beans to inspire positive change and challenge unconscious biases.

In 2001, I founded iCelebrateDiversity, an e-commerce brand dedicated to offering products that celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity. Adding Diversity Beans to our offerings was a natural progression, and in 2011, I proudly acquired the company.

An Unconventional Icebreaker

Over 15 million assumptions have been challenged with Diversity Beans. Across the spectrum, from the magic of Disney to the shelves of Target and the boardrooms of Pepsi, our unique approach has resonated with some of the world’s most influential brands. In classrooms, community centers, and corporate offices, Diversity Beans aren’t just a sweet treat—they’re a catalyst for meaningful conversations and a tool for fostering genuine inclusion. Wherever they go, Diversity Beans leave a lasting impact, helping to build a more open and understanding world, one jelly bean at a time.
